State of CT Phase 2 Reopening Requirements

I have completed the CT State Self-Certification which recognizes adherence to the State reopening requirements for Phase 2.  Certification number:  BRC-00014585

In addition, I have completed an 8-hour Continuing Education class on Preventing Disease Transmission in a Massage Practice.

Since it was impossible to rearrange my existing studio space to meet the new guidelines, I have set up a new space which does not contain extra linens, soft furnishings or tapestries.  Hand sanitizer is available in all locations.  The main floor bathroom has been designated for client use only.  Each client is provided with a fresh hand towel for their personal use in the bathroom.

Clients are scheduled to allow adequate time between sessions for thorough cleaning and sanitization.

Between clients I clean and disinfect all areas that are contacted frequently such as door handles, light switches, countertops, hand rails, seats as well the protective covers on the massage table, face cradle and bolster, using products that meet EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2. The bathroom is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between clients.

All laundry is handled in accordance with the State requirements.

As is standard practice for any bodyworker, I wash my hands and arms thoroughly before and after each session. I am required to wear eye protection and a mask at all times and will be changing my clothing between clients.

Client Requirements and What to Expect When You Arrive

For new clients, I will email an intake form that you can fill out and email back to me before your appointment. We will discuss your needs for the session when you arrive.

I am introducing contactless payment via Venmo or Zelle. You can pay before your session or when you return to your car. Please let me know if you have any questions about this.

Here is my payment information for each method: • Venmo: @Wayne-Leiss • Zelle: 203-994-1207

When you arrive for your appointment, please park in front of the double garage door, text me that you have arrived, and I will come to greet you and take your temperature with an infra-red thermometer.  We will then review and sign a Covid-19 related questionnaire to help determine any possible risk of Covid-19 transmission.

All clients are required to wear a mask when arriving at the premises until leaving, unless you have a medical note to the contrary.

Please sanitize your hands with the provided sanitizer before entering.  Additional sanitizer is available at all client locations.

All personal belongings should be brought into the treatment area and can be placed on the bench provided.

Face masks must remain in place at all times except when face-down on the massage table. I will be using a “pillow hammock” so that you can remove your mask when face down.  It takes a little getting used to, but it is not bad. What I have found is that it is easier not to chat with a mask on. However, please do not hesitate to communicate if you need to!

The dedicated bathroom conforms to state requirements and is cleaned and disinfected between clients. I also shower and put on a clean set of clothes before each client arrives.  For any questions on the above, please do not hesitate to call, text or email.
